They sang to me!

Image
At every stage of my life, there has been time when I look back at my past self of various stages and go "ewwww" at some things that the past me found absolutely cool. "You sang to me" is one such song that happened to me. I don't even know what I liked about the song, I only know that I did. Well, there were a lot of Bon Jovis that happened too which I now scrunch to even think about, but hey they were cool when you know...and they spoke the feelings perfectly for me. I cannot guarantee even now, that if those songs came floating to me while out on street, I wouldn't pause for a second to flashback my mind to my "Prince Charming" wishing days. Hmph! This song came back to me when I was photographing away my room out of sheer boredom- my camera's boredom not mine. I have enough in my plate right now to not get bored for another century. I hadn't picked up the camera even once since my last trek so I thought I might as well give i...

Kathmandu Bloooms

Image
You can run, you can hide but you cannot escape. That's Kathmandu to me. I do not want this city to be my muse, yet I find myself indulging in its various facets again and again. One of the recurring positive dawdling has been on the row of cherry (or are they plum peaches?) planted in the Airport Sinamangal stretch which during the peak bloom season steals too much of my attention. This year, I went on the extra length and photoshopped most of the photos I took to see how it would have been if Kathmandu was dust free and the colors would be as radiant as nature wanted it to be without the dust filter. And here are a few results. Although I must say that when one is under or around the cherry trees, no amount of photoshop can convey the real vibrance and the beauty. No matter the layer of dust. A slight water color effect to mask Kathmandu's dullness "Original" Photoshop. I wanted to see what it would look like if we had cherry trees on both sides. The...

When purple takes over Kathmandu

Image
And no, its not ncell I'm talking about. Enjoy the photos of this purple enchantress, which has veiled Kathmandu's ugliness for a while. Although its true identity as to whether this is Jacaranda or Sirish or Mimosa is being contested in "experts" circle, its aura and charm is nevertheless incontestable. Like Shakespeare said, "what's in a name"? Ha its impossible to see these "high"nesses really this upclose. This was a major crop on top of major zoom And a video too :) In instagram: http://instagram.com/p/oDHfppuATT/

When I come half way

Image
When I make an effort to wake up early, because you are coming to give me a ride to my office, and I dont even think about it until late in the evening when I am paralyzed by yawns, then I know that I've come more than half way. In the slightly uncomfortable atmosphere of a restaurant whose bill is not exactly easy on your purse, I elaborately share a funny out-of-place story to you. About a "somebody" from a small town with a mundane life, on whose mundane life one day a stranger comes. They fall in love, although that "somebody" knows that the stranger is not there to stay. So while they are in love, and the few days that they were going to have would be heaven, there still was tragedy looming in the future. Which made their time together precious, yet tinged with a tragic air. That somebody is already bidding the love of their life a mental farewell. Its as if the love is there, but not really there. It is so real, yet so unreal. Th...

I will take all the colors that life gives me!

Whenever I feel the need to loosen up I select one of my photos and then go about meddling it in photoshop.
